🏗️ During the course, children will be tasked with designing and building their dream building — it could be a house, shop, school, or any other space they imagine. They will develop the visual concept of their structure and create a physical model. Alongside project work, students will explore the basic principles of architecture, including sketching, scale calculation, and dimension planning. In the theoretical part, children will learn about famous architects, their works, and landmark buildings around the world. They will also be introduced to urban planning - understanding how streets, parks, and squares are organized and what types of city layouts exist. By the end of the course, combining all the knowledge, ideas, and models created, the children will build one large collaborative city - complete with planning, layout, and building placement.
📐 Learning Format:
Architect Club is a three-month program (initially, students register for the first month, after which parents and children decide whether to continue). Throughout the course, participants work on one major project — “The City”, which develops across three stages, increasing in complexity and scale:
● Residential Buildings: Children learn about house architecture and famous residential designs, then create their own “home” model.
● Commercial Spaces: They explore the architecture of public and commercial buildings - shops, schools, hotels, museums - study famous examples, and design their own unique building.
● Urban Planning: In the final stage, children discover the basics of parks, roads, and city layouts. Together, as a group, they create a unified map featuring all the buildings made during the course.
🎯 Course Goal: To introduce children to the fundamentals of architecture, familiarize them with renowned Georgian and international architects, and enable them to create imaginative projects along with their physical models.
